How to make it

  • For the base
  • Put biscuits in food processor and pulse until you have fine crumbs
  • Combine melted butter
  • Place the mixture into your chosen pan and press firmly - chill for at least 30 minutes
  • For Toffee Layer
  • Empty can of condensed milk into saucepan and heat over a low heat - stirring constantly
  • When milk starts to bubble, add sugar and butter and keep stirring until the mixture thickens and comes away from the sides of the pan
  • Pour mixture (as evenly as you can) onto the biscuit base and chill for a further 30 minutes
  • For topping
  • Slice the bananas and arrange them on top of the (now cool and solid) toffee layer
  • Whip cream until it holds firm peaks and spread over bananas
  • Crumble Flake (or similar) over top of pie
  • Chill until ready to serve - make sure you get the first piece, or you might miss out!
