White Fluffy Frosting

I received this recipe from the instructor of the cake decorating class. It is the best homemade frosting I have ever tasted and works great for decorating!
Ingredients
- 4 Cups white shortening shopping list
- 1 Stick butter shopping list
- 2 lbs powdered sugar shopping list
- 1 tsp vanilla (clear if you have it) shopping list
- 1 tsp salt shopping list
How to make it
- Cream ingredients for at least 10 minutes using a stand mixer, if using a hand mixer, you will have to cream on high, shutting off the hand mixer a few times to let it cool down.
- Frosting should double in size and be come light and fluffy.
