Lasagna Recipe
This is my favorite Lasagna recipe growing up.

Ingredients
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 3 Tbsp parsely flakes
  • 1 Tbsp basil
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 3 tsp salt
  • 1 lb can of whole peeled tomatoes
  • 2 6oz cans of tomatoe paste
  • 1 large carton of small curd cottage cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 tsp of pepper
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese
  • 3/4 box of lasagna noodles
  • 2 packages of sliced mozzarella cheese

Directions
  1. Brown 1 lb of ground beef. Drain grease from meat.
  2. Mix and Simmer: beef, 1 clove of garlic, 1 Tbsp of parsely flakes, 1 Tbsp of basil, 1 tsp of oregano, 1 1/2 tsp of salt, 1 lb can of tomatoes, and 2 6oz cans of tomatoe paste.
  3. Mix separate: 1 large carton of small curd cottage cheese, 2 eggs, 1 1/2 tsp of salt, 1/2 tsp of pepper, 2 Tbsp of parsely flakes, and 1/2 cup of parmesan cheese.
  4. Boil 3/4 a box of Lasagna noodles.
  5. Layer the following in a casserole dish: Cover the bottom of the dish with noodles, 1/2 of cottage cheese mixture, 1 package of sliced mozzarella cheese, 1/2 of meat mixture, and repeat layering again...
  6. Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees.
  7. Bake 30 minutes uncovered.
  8. Let sit for 20-30 minutes.
  9. The longer it sits the better it all comes together (The left-overs out of the fridge the next day are in my opinion even better!)

This Lasagna is now my Dad's favorite thing for me to cook for him. This is the best way to put him in a great mood for a week or as long as the left over's last, unfortunatly the rest of the family doesn't get to have any, he likes it that much. Perfect seasoning's and herbs, I love it with ground beef instead of sausage.
