How to make it

  • deseed and cut the mangoes in small pieces.
  • for the fish
  • marinate the fish with turmeric powder, salt to taste
  • Leave it for 5 minutes room temperature
  • Heat a deep frying pan
  • Pour the mustard oil
  • fry the fish
  • In another deep dish
  • add two tbsp of refined oil
  • Put the dry red chilly
  • Add the mustard seeds
  • Let the seeds splatter in the oil
  • add the raw mango pieces
  • add sugar
  • add salt to taste
  • now add 1/2 litre of water
  • boil the mangoes till it softens
  • Now add the fried fish
  • Let the fish simmer in the sauce for 10 minutes
  • add salt or sugar to suit your taste.
  • Serve room temperature with steamed rice
