Ingredients

How to make it

  • In large mixer, beat egg whites and cream of tartar until soft peaks form
  • Gradually add sugar and vanilla, beating until stiff peaks hold and mixture is glossy
  • sift cocoa into egg mixture and FOLD until just combined DO NOT MIX OR IT WILL NOT TURN OUT RIGHT!!!
  • (optional) Fold in chocolate chips
  • heat oven to 300
  • cover cookiesheet(s) with parchment paper or foil
  • drop heaping tablespoons onto cookie sheet
  • bake 35 to45 min. or until JUST dry
  • Carefully peel cookies off paper and cool on wire rack (I use paper bags)
  • store in covered container
  • eat and be filled with yumminess!

    I've had similar cookies just pecan meringue flavor but yours sound great. These are bookmarked for this fall for sure that is IF I can wait lol
