Pear Grunt

- 1/2 cup granulated sugar shopping list
- 2 tablespoon butter shopping list
- 1 egg shopping list
- 1 cup flour shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder shopping list
- 2 cups sliced pears shopping list
- 1/2 cup buttermilk shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda shopping list
- 6 Tablespoon brown sugar shopping list
- 1-1/2 tablespoon flour shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon shopping list
- 1-1/2 tablespoon butter shopping list
How to make it
- Cream sugar and butter together then add eggs and mix well.
- Blend flour, salt and baking powder together and add to mixture.
- Mix soda with milk and vanilla then mix all together.
- Add pear slices and pour batter into a buttered baking dish.
- In a separate bowl combine brown sugar, flour, cinnamon and butter mixing until crumbly.
- Sprinkle over pear batter then bake at 350 for 45 minutes.
- Serve hot with ice cream.

The pear tree next door is laden with fruit, and I asked to pick a few...lucky me ...I'm going to try this recipe with those freshier than fresh pears. I was going to try my Grandmother's pear preserves.. but am too lazy.
