How to make it

  • Mix the condensed milk, sugar and coconut and put the mixture in a thick vessel
  • when the mixture starts boilin, add the ghee/butter
  • keep stirring and cooking till the mixture turns golden brown
  • add the chopped walnuts and mix well
  • spread the mixture on a greased cake pan
  • press and level by pressing with a wet cloth
  • after 5 mins, cut the toffee into small pieces and remove when cold

    This sounds wonderful but I am not much of a walnut fan - wonder if you could substitute almonds or pecans instead?? What do you think?
