Baked Chili Cheese Spread Recipe
This is so good, creamy, cheesy and flavorful. Another recipe that I obtained from one of the girls in my bunco club. Hope you enjoy as much as we did.

Ingredients
  • 2 tablespoons yellow cornmeal
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 24 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 8 ounces diced green chilies
  • 1 cup sliced green onions
  • 16 ounce jar salsa
  • 16 ounces shredded cheddar cheese
  • Tortilla chips or assorted crackers

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 325 then heavily grease bottom and side of spring form pan.
  2. Combine cornmeal and chili powder then sprinkle over side and bottom of prepared pan.
  3. Beat cream cheese, eggs, garlic powder and cumin in large mixer bowl until smooth.
  4. Stir in chilies and 1/2 cup green onions then pour half of the batter into pan.
  5. Spoon 1 cup salsa on top of batter then sprinkle with 1-1/2 cups cheddar cheese.
  6. Spread remaining batter on top of cheese then bake 55 minutes.
  7. Cool completely in pan on wire rack then remove side of spring form pan.
  8. Spread remaining salsa on top and sprinkle with remaining cheese and green onions.
  9. Serve with tortilla chips or crackers.
