Date Nut Bread Pared With Camembert Cheese

- 1 Cup coarsely chopped pitted dates shopping list
- 1-1/2 teaspoons baking soda shopping list
- 3 Tablespoons unsalted butter,at room temperature shopping list
- 3/4 Cup boiling water shopping list
- 1-1/2 Cups flour shopping list
- 1 Cup sugar shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoons salt shopping list
- 2 Large Fresh eggs,lightly beaten shopping list
- 1 teaspoons pure vanilla extract shopping list
- 1 Cup walnuts,coarsely chopped shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 325.
- Butter an 8-1/2"x4-1/2" loaf pan.
- In bowl,toss the chopped dates with the baking soda.
- Add the butter.
- Pour the boiling water all over the dates and let stand for 20 minutes.
- In bowl,whisk the flour with the sugar and salt.
- Add the eggs and the vanilla and stir with a fork to combine.
- Stir in the chopped walnuts and the date mixture.
- Pour the bread batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for about 55 minutes,or until a toothpick inserted in the center of the date-nut bread comes out clean.
- Let bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes,then turn it out onto a wire rack and let cool completely.
