Philadelphia Burgers Recipe
This recipe comes from the Hannis Estate that I obtained when I purchased the family collection in 1992 from Dallas, Texas

Ingredients
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce divided
  • 4 teaspoons Dijon mustard divided
  • 2-1/2 ounces French fried onions divided
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 3 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 4-1/2 ounces sliced mushrooms drained
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley flakes
  • 4 hamburger buns

Directions
  1. Combine 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce, 3 teaspoons mustard and half of the onions.
  2. Add beef and mix well then shape into four patties and grill until no longer pink.
  3. Blend cream cheese, mushrooms, parsley and remaining Worcestershire sauce and mustard.
  4. Spread over burgers then top with remaining onions and grill 30 seconds longer.
  5. Serve on rolls with your favorite condiments.
