Blondies

- 1.5 cups light brown sugar shopping list
- 1 cup butter at room temperature shopping list
- 2.25 cups flour shopping list
- 0.75 tsp baking soda shopping list
- 0.5 tsp salt shopping list
- 2 eggs shopping list
- 2 tsp vanilla extract shopping list
- 1.5 cups of "additions": chocolate chips, chopped nuts, dried fruit, etc shopping list
- Optional - powdered sugar shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat over to 375
- Butter and flour a 9x13 baking dish
- Cream the softened butter and flour with an electric mixer
- Add eggs and vanilla to the eggs and sugar
- In a separate bowl mix the flour, baking soda and salt
- add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just incorporated
- Stir in the "additions"
- Pour mixture into prepared pan, spreading it out with a spatula
- Bake for 20-25 minutes. When a toothpick comes out clean, it's done.
- Remove from pan and allow to cool on rack.
- Optional - Sift powdered sugar over finished Blondies.
- Cut into bars and serve at room temperature.
