Tequila Soaked Watermelon Recipe
I found this recipe in Martha Stewart Living. I haven't had a chance to try it but boy did it look yummy!

Ingredients
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1/2 cup tequila
  • 1/4 cup Triple Sec
  • 2 limes
  • coarse sea salt

Directions
  1. In a saucepan, combine the sugar, water, tequila, and triple sec. Heat through to dissolve sugar. Let cool slightly.
  2. Slice watermelon into 1 inch thick wedges.
  3. Pour syrup over wedges.
  4. Refrigerate for at least 45 minutes.
  5. When ready to serve, remove melon from syrup and arrange on a platter.
  6. Squeeze lime over melon and season with salt.

Can't wait to try it...try shots of tequila w/ sangrita backs. Sangrita (my version) equal parts orange juice/tomato juice/lime juice. Ahhh and no hangover! TIP: sip the tequila!
