Chocolate Banana Surprise Cake

I saw a lemon version of this in a magazine from '06. Made this version for one of my honey's friends birthday, who loves the banana/chocolate combo. Everybody at the shop loved it!
Ingredients
- For cake : shopping list
- dark chocolate cake mix + ingredients to make cake shopping list
- large box banana instant pudding shopping list
- 2 cups milk shopping list
- 1/4 cup sugar shopping list
- 1 1/4 cup water shopping list
- For Frosting: shopping list
- 1 cup sugar shopping list
- 1/4 cup milk shopping list
- 1/4 cup butter shopping list
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips shopping list
- OR shopping list
- One jar of chocolate frosting, whatever you'd like. shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350
- Prepare cake mix as directed on the box, put into a greased 13x9 pan
- Mix banana pudding, sugar, water, and milk together until well blended and no lumps.
- Pour pudding mixture over cake
- Place pan onto baking sheet, the mixture may bubble over.
- Bake for one hour or until toothpick inserted in middle comes out clean.
- Cool 20-30 min
- While that is cooling, make your frosting!
- Bring sugar, milk and butter to a full boil in saucepan.
- Remove from heat.
- Stir in chocolate chips and beat until it begins to thicken.
- Spread on cake and ENJOY!
