Baked Macaroni and Sausage

- 1 pound breakfast sausage browned and drained shopping list
- 1 cup white onions chopped shopping list
- 4 cloves garlic hopped shopping list
- 4 ounces canned mushrooms drained shopping list
- 16 ounces cottage cheese shopping list
- 1 pound elbow macaroni shopping list
- 32 ounces spaghetti sauce shopping list
- 1/2 pound mozzarella cheese shredded shopping list
- 1/4 cup parmesan cheese grated shopping list
How to make it
- Cook sausage in skillet until well browned then drain well.
- Add onions, garlic and mushrooms then sauté until onion is tender but not brown then set aside.
- In a large saucepan boil macaroni 10 minutes and drain well.
- Combine sausage mixture and cottage cheese and mix well.
- Pour 1/2 cup sauce on bottom of casserole dish.
- Spread 1/2 macaroni, 1/2 sausage cheese mixture and cover with 1/2 remaining sauce.
- Sprinkle with 1/2 mozzarella and parmesan cheese.
- Add remaining macaroni, sausage and sauce then top with remaining cheese and cover.
- Bake at 400 for 30 minutes then serve while hot.
