Baked Macaroni and Sausage Recipe

How to make it

  • Cook sausage in skillet until well browned then drain well.
  • Add onions, garlic and mushrooms then sauté until onion is tender but not brown then set aside.
  • In a large saucepan boil macaroni 10 minutes and drain well.
  • Combine sausage mixture and cottage cheese and mix well.
  • Pour 1/2 cup sauce on bottom of casserole dish.
  • Spread 1/2 macaroni, 1/2 sausage cheese mixture and cover with 1/2 remaining sauce.
  • Sprinkle with 1/2 mozzarella and parmesan cheese.
  • Add remaining macaroni, sausage and sauce then top with remaining cheese and cover.
  • Bake at 400 for 30 minutes then serve while hot.
