Jackfruit Halwa

- 1 cup chopped Jackfruit shopping list
- 1 cup sugar shopping list
- 1/4 tsp cardamom powder shopping list
- 3 tblsp ghee (clarified butter) shopping list
- 2 tsp Cashwenuts (broken in halves) shopping list
- 2 tsp almonds (cut into small pieces) shopping list
- 2 tsp raisins (dry grapes) shopping list
- 1/4 cup water shopping list
How to make it
- Heat Ghee in a kadai. Fry Cashwenuts & Raisins. Remove & keep aside.
- Add Water to the same kadai. When it starts to boil add Sugar, mix well & boil until 1 string consistency.
- Add Jackfruit pieces. Reduce to Medium heat, stir well & boil till the pieces are soft & the mixture is thick in consistency.
- Add fried Cashwenuts, Almonds & Raisins. Mix well & remove from heat. Add Cardamom powder & mix.
- Grease a plate with little Ghee. Pour the mixture into the greased plate & allow to cool. When the halwa is warm to touch, dip a knife in warm water, wipe it & then cut into pieces.
