This is an easy, tasty and affordable meal. Crusty Italian or French Bread is a must and a fresh greens salad.

  • Ingredients:
  • 2 pounds cleaned fresh sardine fillets (leave the skin on them, just remove the bones)
  • 2 cloves garlic finely chopped
  • About 3/4 cup fresh chopped parsley
  • Lemon juice
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • and garlic.

Directions

  2. Mix the parsley
  3. Lay the sardine fillets in a ceramic baking dish, skin side down if they have skins, and spread the parsley and garlic over them.
  4. Drizzle with olive oil and salt.
  5. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes in an preheated oven at 350°F.
  6. Remove from oven.
  7. Sprinkle the baked sardine fillets with fresh squeezed lemon juice and serve.

This recipe brings me back to my grandmothers kitchen table. ^5!!


I love fresh sardines vickie - are they available in Vegas,they aren't available here.I would like to try this it sounds good -


Not too much is avaialable in Vegas as far as fresh fish goes, but they are getting better. I have to used the canned, but fresh is always best.
