Blackberry Crisp

- 1 cup graham cracker crumbs shopping list
- 1/4 cup butter melted shopping list
- 3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar shopping list
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg shopping list
- 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves shopping list
- 1 teaspoon vanilla shopping list
- 4 cups fresh blackberries shopping list
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice shopping list
- 1 tablespoon water shopping list
- whipped cream shopping list
How to make it
- Combine graham cracker crumbs and butter then press 1/3 cup crumbs into a baking dish. Stir together sugar, cinnamon, salt, nutmeg and cloves then add vanilla. Sprinkle 2 cups of the berries over crumbs. Cover berries with 1/2 of the sugar mixture then sprinkle with 1 tablespoon of lemon juice and water. Repeat layers with 1/3 cup crumbs, remaining berries, sugar mixture and lemon juice. Top with remaining crumbs. Cover and bake 40 minutes in a 350 oven. Increase to 400 and bake 10 minutes longer. Cool for 30 minutes and serve with whipped cream.
