Ingredients
  • Crust: 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped
  • 1/2 cup salted butter (NO SUBSTITUTES)
  • Caramel Topping : 1 cup butter
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar 1 (12 oz. package semi-sweet chocolate

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. In bowl mix flour, butter, and brown sugar. Press into ungreased 9x13-inch pan. Sprinkle pecans evenly over unbaked crust.
  3. For caramel topping: Melt brown sugar and butter in a saucepan. Bring to a boil and continue to boil for 1 min., stirring constantly.
  4. Pour caramel mixture over crust and pecans. Bake for 20-25 min. or until surface is bubby.
  5. Remove from oven sprinkle chocolate chips over hot surface.. Gently swirl melted chocolate chips with a spatula for a marbled effect.
  6. Cool at least 5 hours. Cut into small squares (very rich candy!)
