Chattanooga Chew Chews

- Crust: 2 cups all purpose flour shopping list
- 1 cup brown sugar shopping list
- 1 cup pecans, chopped shopping list
- 1/2 cup salted butter (NO SUBSTITUTES) shopping list
- caramel topping : 1 cup butter shopping list
- 3/4 cup brown sugar 1 (12 oz. package semi-sweet chocolate shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- In bowl mix flour, butter, and brown sugar. Press into ungreased 9x13-inch pan. Sprinkle pecans evenly over unbaked crust.
- For caramel topping: Melt brown sugar and butter in a saucepan. Bring to a boil and continue to boil for 1 min., stirring constantly.
- Pour caramel mixture over crust and pecans. Bake for 20-25 min. or until surface is bubby.
- Remove from oven sprinkle chocolate chips over hot surface.. Gently swirl melted chocolate chips with a spatula for a marbled effect.
- Cool at least 5 hours. Cut into small squares (very rich candy!)
