How to make it

  • Cut 4 14 x 12 pieces of waxed paper. Cream butter, sugar, and brown
  • sugar. Beat in vanilla and eggs, until light and fluffy. Combine flour, salt,
  • and baking soda. Stir into egg mixture. Add chips and nuts. Divide into
  • 4 balls. Shape into an 8-10 inch roll. Wrap in waxed paper or plastic
  • wrap. Place in a freezer container with a light fitting lid. Label and
  • date. Use within 6 months. TO MAKE COOKIES: Preheat oven to 350. Cut into ¼
  • inch slices. Arrange on a baking sheet about 1 ½ inches apart. Bake 10
  • minutes. Cool on rack.
