Square Peach Pie

One day i got really bored and wanted somthing sweet but i diddnt have much in the house but i had basic ingredients. then i found four cans of peaches and made this pie by scratch.
Ingredients
- Crust: shopping list
- 2 1/2 C. flour shopping list
- 1 C. butter SOFTENED shopping list
- 1TSP salt shopping list
- 1 TBS. sugar shopping list
- 1/8 C. water shopping list
- filling: shopping list
- 4 CANS OF SLICES peaches DRAINED shopping list
- 1 C. sugar shopping list
- cinnamon TO TASTE I USUALLY USE A LOT shopping list
- 1 egg yolk shopping list
- milk shopping list
How to make it
- Crust
- combine flour, salt, sugar, and butter
- mix
- add water
- form into ball
- divide into 2 round disk shapes
- wrap with plastic wrap
- chill for 1 hour or more
- after chilled remove 1 disk of dough and flatten with a rolling pin about 11 in. diameter circle
- use flour on surface so dough don't stick
- place rolled out dough into a 8x8 square pan set aside
- filling:
- in large mixing bowl add peaches sugar and cinnamon and lightly mix until peaches are covered in cinnamon and sugar
- place into pastry lined 8x8 pan
- roll out other disk of dough into same size
- cut 8 strips and lattice dough together on top of pie
- egg wash
- and sprinkle with sugar
- cover edges with foil
- bake at 350 degrees for 35 min.
