Differnt Chile Recipe

Differnt Chile Recipe
We here in the south east eat a lot of boiled peanuts. Why?, the are really beans not nuts. Texas Chile has no beans and a lot of times I like it that way. But if you can find some shelled raw peanuts. Here is a fun way to make Chile.

Ingredients
  • 2 cups raw peanuts
  • 3 cups water
  • 1 small can chipollie peppers with sauce.

Directions
  1. Take two cups of raw peanutsand put them in a crock, cover with water. Then add the small can of chipollie peppers with the sauce. Set on medium for an hour or so, then check for tenderness, water level and seasoning. You wan't the end product to be a little thick and the peanuts to be tender, so turning the crock to low would be a good idea. Start making your favorite chile but insted of kidney beans add the peanuts from the crock or pour it all in there.I think you will be surprised at the taste and it it is fun to see if anyone figures out your nuts. The peanuts that is.

That is very interesting, I like peanuts a little, but not that much, only the ones that are seasoned with texas chilli powder of some kind, or candied, Anyway, this is a recipe worth trying. :-) I also love the chipoltly or however you spell that pepper.
