Cold Cucumber Buttermilk Soup Recipe
I had a vine full of cucumbers and wanted a cold soup. Did not have any of the creams in the fridge. Saw some buttermilk and thought what the hay, if it's nasty I'll throw it away. If you like buttermilk, you will be hooked.

Ingredients
  • 2 cucumbers, peeled , seeded and chopped
  • 1 cup watercress (optional, grows wild at camp branch here)
  • 2 cups buttermilk
  • sprig of fresh dill
  • salt and pepper
  • celery seed

Directions
  1. Cut up the cucumber. pulse in a blender with the watercress until it is finely chopped. Thin with buttermilk. Season with dill,celery seed, salt and pepper.
  2. This is delicious either with the watercress or without it. I like to sprinkle a few minced chives over the top.
