Ingredients
  • banana peppers
  • 2 cups vinegar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp mustard seed
  • 1/2 tsp celery seed
  • 3 cloves garlic

Directions
  1. wash and slice your peppers
  2. bring 6 half pint jars, lids and rings to a boil, keep warm till ready
  3. bring to a boil vinegar, water, sugar, mustard and celery seeds
  4. place 1/2 clove garlic in each jar
  5. pack hot jars with pepper slices
  6. pour the hot vinegar mixture over them leaving 1/8 inch headspace
  7. secure lids and rings
  8. using a pressure cooker or canner, pour enough water in it to come about 1/2 way up on the jars. bring to a boil.
  9. boil your packed jars for 10 minutes and cool slowly.
