Alfredo Rice

    This was "over-the-top"...

Uncle Ben's makes a packaged, converted and flavoured rice called "Natural Select" here in Canada. Basically, it's long-grain rice that has been par-boiled with various flavours added. All you have to do it boil the rice in water with a bit of butter, and "Uncle Ben" does the flavouring.
    Easy.
I made the Parmesan & Butter rice the other night, and had some left-over in the fridge. So, I re-heated it, and melted a bit more butter in a small saucepan; added a bit of milk, and a small handful of freshly grated Parmiggiano-Reggiano cheese....Once the rice was not I put it in a servng bowl, sprinkled with black pepper, and poured the (now thickend) sauce over the top.
Talk about major Parmesan & butter flavour!

Not very good for you, I'm sure, but it WAS ALfredo to the Maximum :)

    Sounds divine!
I was thinking of adding a Pasta Alfredo (using homemade green fettuccini) to our Christmas menu! haha.... teach these Italians about Alfredo once and for all ^_^
Even my sis liked the idea, she hates spinach but is looking for new ways to enjoy it, so I thought why not green pasta!? Now I just have to find the recipe....
