Propogating basil

  I don't recall where I stumbled upon this trick, but you can propagate most types of basil by taking a cutting from the basil plant and sticking the cutting into water. Eventually the cutting sprouts roots and you can pot it. I do this in the fall just before the first freeze so that I have some fresh basil even in the winter.
