  Thanks so much to everyone who has already joined this group! This group has at least two purposes. First, it can be a place to gather together recipes designed for or well suited for cooking in cast iron. For those of us who already appreciate the advantages of cooking with cast iron skillets, griddles, and other pans, it can be a gathering place and source of information. But I hope it also can be a place where we can encourage others to discover cast iron! I've been around cast iron all my life, and cooked some things in it ever since I've been cooking. But while searching the site for cast iron recipes, I have been amazed at the wide variety of foods that people cook in their cast iron pots.
