    Good morning everyone!

Portugal has fires everywhere :( so so so soooooooooooo sad.... The heat is very strong and the burnt smell is getting to my nerves. Yesterday an helicopter fell trying to put out the flames and no one died thank God. We are all under alert.

I will have a crazy week.... Just finished vacation and I suspect in the end of this week I'll feel like I need vacation again :)

Kimmer, I am so happy for Lola!

Susan, what are you plans for the double b-day? That should be fun.

My grandfather is turning 77 next Saturday. I want to bake him a really nice cake. If you have a nice recipe for cake please share.

Verna, Henrie, Peeta, where are you?

And Jett, Mandy.... Come and say hello.

Breakfast is set. Cinnamon and pecans rolls, fruit salad, coffee, tea and OJ!

    ((((((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))))

Good morning! I am sorry about the fired, that is horrible! It is hot here too, the storm that came through last week blew a lot of stuff around and flooded a lot of people out. I live far enough inland that we didn't get much of the flooding.

My daughter went back to school today, she did not want to get up this morning! It is like fighting a bear, but finally got her off to school and I laid back down with my youngest daughter for a little while longer.

Had a good Labor day yesterday, went to a BBQ, everything was delicious and I definately ate to much! Lol. I hope you have a good day!

    Hi Ana, hi Mandy
It's so worrying about the wild fires, I hope you will be OK.
For your grandfather, you can't beat a good old fashioned chocolate cake I think!

Ana, I don't know what we are doing exactly for our double celebration - I know going out to lunch is on the agenda , We are actually 15 days apart, but we celebrate together on my birthday on the 28th. I bought Tom's present on behalf of his mother yesterday, a nice little netbook - much lighter and more portable than his big laptop, I don't know what to get for him from me. I will also make him one of his favourite dishes, pat leClare's recipe for jambalaya!

LOL Mandy, I like the idea of getting daughter to school like fighting a bear! Glad you enjoyed Labor Day.

Verna, peeta, henrie, kimmer, jett, I hope you all had a good day yesterday, looking forward to hearing from you all.

    Love
    Susan

Good evening all. Thanks for all the good wishes for Lola. Fixing her a bowl of grapes now so keep your fingers crossed! Her jaw does seem to have regained some strength if she could handle the crickets...........so some grapes should be a piece of cake, so to speak, lol! Just feel better about giving her real food. Have been slurping baby food down her for the last few weeks just so she could get some nourishment. Dr. didn't suggest that, but I just felt it was better than nothing and it wasn't anything she would have to chew. And she does seem to enjoy it. Might just give her some baby food peaches along with her grapes tonight. Felt funny buying baby food again, lol! Hey, whatever works.......right?!

Ana........so sorry to hear of the fires. That must be so very scary! Prayers for you and your country! Chocolate cake sounds just like the ticket for your Grandfather!

    Hi Susan and Mandy!

Well need to clean the kitchen and feed Lola and the cats and the dog...........at least the family is fed. Was taco night so all enjoyed!

    Sleep Sweet All.............as always................
