  Deirdre Stanforth makes her crowing acheivement with this wonderful book that not only shares recipes from famous (and many now defunct) New Oreleans Restaurants. Stories and illistrations by her of the many buildings that housed many cullinary delights of a bygone era are rich, and well researched. Many photos of this 60's era book still delight and capture a not too long ago forgotten time. This book is still in print and can also be obtained used with a little searching. This book will not leave you be dissapointed and will remain a favorite and a staple in your kitchen.
