Brown Rice Substitute

    I'm making Bondc's Chicken and Rice Casserole tonight. I would like to use Brown Rice instead of the white rice.

    I know Brown rice usually takes longer to cook. Does anyone know what the proper bake time would be? Thanks!

    I looked on the net and the most say when baking brown rice in a casserole, you need to help it get a jump start by boiling the rice in a pot of water for about 5 minutes (no need to measure out the water) then drain it and add it to your casserole...continue on with recipe as normal........Hope this helps!
