chicken broth jell-o

    hi, I made a whole chicken in the crock-pot. I've done this before, but this time the broth , when chilled, became like soft Jello. I wonder why? is it o.k.? I'd like to make some soup with it, should I just add some store-bought broth to it? I've been cooking for many, many, many years, but never knew this answer.! Thanks
