  These were just okay. Nothing special that would “wow” you with flavor. It was pouring down rain all day so I had to pan fry them. Okay, who am I kidding? I don’t like to grill so I would have pan fried them anyway. lol! Spooning the teriyaki sauce over the burgers before cooking really didn’t leave them with any real teriyaki flavor. DH and I found that spooning additional sauce over the burgers afterwards did more for the flavor than anything. This makes an overwhelming amount of teriyaki sauce. I reduced it and only used ½ c. of teriyaki sauce and still had over half of the sauce remaining. DH actually liked these because of the pineapple, but he did not like the onions as part of the combination. Frankly, I was disappointed. They just didn't live up to my preconceived expectations.
  
  I forgot to mention that I used fresh pineapple instead of canned.

  Too bad this wasn't a "wow" recipe DIZ :(. Maybe basting the burgers as they cooked would add more flavor? Wow on so much sauce! Guess it's going on some chicken next? Lol. Beautiful picture!!

  Thank you, Mommyluvs2cook! I think basting would definitely help, especially if you are cooking them on the grill.

  Too bad it was just "ok". It probably needed some flavour in the patty mixture I'm guessing. Too bad there wasn't some of the sauce mixed into the beef before forming the patty's.

  Thank you, Cosmicmother! I felt the burger was missing something. Not sure how it would do with teriyaki mixed in with the beef. The teriyaki caramelized when cooked and made one sticky, burnt on mess!
