*Made for the November 2019 "Pie" Recipe Challenge*

So I was very happy pies are this months theme! I have always been intimidated by pies and actually need to get some practice in before the Holidays. This was a super easy and delicious pie!! It really bubbles up a lot while cooking, which kind of scared me, but then while cooling, it comes down. I cooked mine the exact 45 mins. as stated, which I think was perfect. I feel if you go too much over on time the filling may harden up. This filling was thinner than I thought it was going to be, but it's so dang sweet it is actually the perfect ratio to the crust. I may be putting this in my Thanksgiving menu!!!

That's very cool Michelle (and wow you were fast on the challenge!!! :) ) Jim's Dad used to say that his favourite pie was 'Sugar Pie' and at that time I'd never heard of it although now I know it's a speciality in Quebec. His Dad is also a huge Butter Tart fan and as Shona says, the filling looks very much the same, minus the raisins or pecans.

Thanks ladies! I've never had a butter tarts, but sounds like it's similar! I think this would be awesome with some chopped pecans mixed in or even decorated on top :)

Looks great, Mommyluvs2cook! I've always wondered what a sugar pie was like. Sounds rich and sweet. I'll bet it can really satisfy the sweet tooth.

Looks great Michelle! A sugar pie indeed and probably a very tasty one. Would be nice with a scoop of vanilla ice-cream.
