    Aunt Lillys Challah Bread
Recipe made for IMI2's August 2019 'Seven Ingredients or Less' recipe challenge.

My review: Lovely recipe. Love that it used regular flour and oil instead of butter. For those that don't know Challah is traditionally made with oil. The dough was easy to work with, baked up pillowy soft, and slightly sweet. Just what I was looking for.
Thank you so much for sharing your family recipe. I can see why its been made for generations. It's perfect!

LindaLMT--Great photography! The credit really goes to you for making one of the most beautiful loaves of Challah I've seen. Now I want to try this.

Thank you girls! It really was easy to make. Used the stand mixer to mix the dough and then let the yeast do it's job. Rolled a rope then twisted it and put it in my stone crock to rise again and bake. Just love old recipe and especially those that work.
I don't eat a lot of bread so when I do it has to be good and nothing is as good as fresh homemade bread.

It looks so perfect Linda!! I think challah is what is typically used in bread pudding, which I love. Saved!

It's what I'm thinking too Michelle … using some for a bread pudding (which I adore) or baked French Toast strata.
