This was perfect for last night to fill up the kiddos (and husbands) bellies before going out to trick or treat! It really does make a difference when using homemade broth, I don't always have it on hand, but I did this time! Meat was not missed in this at all, nobody said a word lol, just ate every bite happily. That is a big deal since my husband is a HUGE meat eater :P 5 stars from us Luisa!!

Nice photo, mommyluvs2cook! I really like Luisa's recipes. I agree, using homemade and/or fresh ingredients makes a big difference. Glad the entire family enjoyed it.

Yuumm, this looks delicious! And sounds warm and comforting. I'm glad your hubby liked it! We're trying to eat vegetarian meals 2-3 times a week now and it's hard pleasing my DH too! I usually don't tell him if something doesn't have meat in it and see if he says anything, lol ;)

WOW, what a lovely looking soup, and a great photo Michelle.
I make Tortellini soup quite often but use the ones that do not have cheese in them.Either beef or veal.
I always have broth in my freezer. This sounds so good and i like making different soups that i saved it.

    Thank you everyone!!

I wish I could go vegetarian more often Shona, but I really don't think hubs would go for it, but who knows!

Let us know if you get around to making it Linda, I'm sure you'll love it :)

I don't think I've ever seen veal tortellini Manella! The main one's I see are 3 cheese, spinach & ricotta and chicken and cheese. I think I've seen the Italian sausage and cheese one as well but haven't tried it.

In all fairness Michelle, I only have the veal ones when I go to Edmonton to visit family.
We get them at The Italian Center Shop, my favorite store. Unfortunately there is not one here in Nova Scotia. I find the beef ones at Sobey’s, a grocery store here.
