This was some of the best tortilla soup I've ever made! I realized after I started making this that I was out of tomato paste :\ I know it's not a great substitute but I was just wanting some of that tomato flavor so I added a can of diced tomatoes. I think even without the paste it was full of flavor. Also I think the corn tortilla strips (which were delicious btw) added some body to the soup once stirred in :) It was even better the next day!

Thank you Bakerme! Yes, it is warm where we are, about 90% of the year lol. Today is no exception, guess we will spend Christmas day in shorts and tank tops!
