Wow! Based on the number of reviews, this is a popular recipe! We really enjoyed these. However, they are nothing like the Chinese Buffet Style Green Beans I’ve eaten. The ones I’ve had are savory. These are very sweet. Hubby called them “candied” green beans. I plan to make again using Sesame Oil.

I love these green beans! I guess every Chinese buffet has their own version of green beans? I've had savory at some and sweet at others. Sesame oil sounds like a great addition Diz, live the photo!

Thank you, Mommyluvs2cook! I've only been to one Chinese restaurant that had green beans. The reason we ate there was because of the green beans. I've never seen them at any other Chinese restaurant we've gone to so I'm not aware of the different variations.

Gorgeous photo DIZ! I've never had Chinese style green beans. I'll have to try them sometime except I'd probably leave the honey out wanting a more savory taste.
