    Chocolate Chip Banana Bread Easy

This is a great banana bread recipe. I was very pleased especially since there is not oil of any kind in the recipe. The bread is moist and loved the flavour.

Maybe the banana provides all the moisture??

Hi Bakerme you could be correct but there is not much more banana in this a compared to other recipes I have tried.

The ratio of fat to sugar is roughly the same in quick breads, so in this case the banana is taking over for the fat :) Glad it turned out well for you!! I've never seen almond extract with banana bread before, did you like that flavor combination over vanilla?

Hi Cosmicmother I do enjoy the almond extract in the bread. You hardly know that it is even there but enough to give it a nutty flavour without the nuts.

I made this again. I did not have enough white sugar and sub with 1 cup dark brown sugar. WOW was the flavour ever good. The banana flavour seemed to have been enhanced.

Hmmm....my tried and true banana bread recipe uses granulated sugar, but from your tasty result, I may have to try using half white and half brown. Thanks for the idea, Nadine!

Oh Bakerme I just remembered a banana recipe that I did years ago that had the combo of white and brown and it was good.

Glad to hear it worked out well with brown sugar Nadine! We do bake sales all the time for the kids sports, this would be a great addition.

This looks fantastic Nadine and I love the brown sugar sub. I haven't made banana bread in ages.
