Crock pot Chicken and Rice

I had all good intentions of making Chicken And Rice Crockpot when I realized this morning that I hadn’t a clue what a package of Lipton chicken flavored rice is.
My intent all along was to use regular rice and then I got thinking was it comparable to the kind of rice the recipe was calling for ... ready made, quick cook, or regular? I even “Googled” it but couldn’t conclude anything so I made the chicken in the crockpot and the rice separately.
I used Keni’s recipe to make condensed cream of chicken soup Make It Yourself Condensed Cream Of Soups and since I wasn’t cooking the rice in the crockpot I only added 1/2 cup water.
Even though dinner turned out fabulous I’m not going to rate the crockpot recipe because I feel not cooking the rice in the crockpot makes a huge difference if the recipe is a success or failure.

It looks like you still got a delicious chicken meal out of it though!! :)

I think the Lipton Rice is like those Knorr packets of instant flavored rice? I tried a creamy risotto flavour and did not care for it at all. (Once you make regular rice you can't go back to instant!)
Maybe you can still leave a review and just leave off the stars?

That chicken looks excellent Linda! I'm thinking Shona is right about the Knorr, I would bet it's similar. I used to use those rice packages ALL the time way back in the day, but haven't in forever :)

I haven't a clue what kind of rice it is ... I'll have to see if next trip to the grocery store tells me anything more. I've never used Knorr's so I'm still clueless.
