    Israeli Salad

    WolfPackJack:
    Israeli Salad#

I made this "Israeli Salad" as a variation on the Middle-Eastern-style salads we typically eat. I left out the scallions and tempered the onion in lemon juice for an hour before mixing with the salad as we are not big fans of a raw-onion flavor. I also doubled the sumac (big difference!!!) and added the optional yellow bell pepper. This salad was delicious and not surprisingly tasted very much like tabbouleh. Thank you WolfPackJack for sharing your recipe.

Lovely photo Mrs. J.! Love this kind of salad. Reminds me of the days I was in college. There were a few Middle Eastern restaurants and food trucks in town and on my long day, the day I was on campus all day and into the late night, I would treat myself to something wonderful.
