Italian Dump Soup

    Recipe by: Beshy74.
Made for October Squash/Cucurbit Recipe Challenge
    October 2020.

I love soups, make soup all year long and always willing to try any out.
This one is very good and I followed the recipe except for the spinach.
My husband can’t eat spinach as it is a trigger for gout so I added turnip in.
I make my own broth so I used that, and I actually had a can of fire roasted diced tomatoes.
I don’t add pasta to soup, I cook it on the side then add to the bowl when soup is ready.
I added the turnip first as it takes longer to cook the the other vegetables.
I had a bit of cabbage in the fridge so I tossed that in. I do love soups that are versatile.
All in all a good soup, great on a chilly day.

Gorgeous photo Manella! It looks so hearty and filling that you probably wouldn't even need pasta. I like your additions, it sounds delicious. :)

Bookmarked! Looks delicious Manella! Such a good call not adding the pasta directly into the pot of soup. Like rice it will just continue to suck up the broth as it sits. Love all the veggies and spices :)

Thank you ladies, that was one of my moms about not adding the pasta to the soup.
Of course if you know it’s all going to get eaten then put the pasta in.

Nice looking bowl of soup Manella! I love dump soups, they are so forgiving to a little more of this, less of that, and easy to put together.
