Italian Herb Bread

Originally I was searching for a crusty baguette but came across this and thought it looked easy. And it was easy to make! I mixed it using my KA stand mixer with the dough hook but kneaded it by hand for the last 5 minutes.
I wanted to make a round loaf that looked like the picture Bren posted. Rather than free form it I put in a cake pan. It only took 35 minutes in my oven, and I should have checked on it earlier because it could have easily been done in 25-30 minutes. So the crust was very crispy, which was ok with me since I originally looked for a crusty bread to make! ;)
It smelled so good while baking! Like Bren did, I added garlic to the topping and used olive oil instead of margarine. Since there was a minimal amount of milk powder, I opted to add a splash of milk instead (topping it up with water for the measured amount of liquid called for). But I'm sure it would be fine without it.
It was very much like a focaccia but a little less airy, so more bread like. Very delicious!

Looks amazing Shona!!! I like that the milk worked in case someone doesn't have milk powder on hand. Bookmarked :) :)
