No Knead Bread

Made this to go with our dinner a few days ago. It was so easy and delicious.
Love the aroma of bread baking and this smelled wonderful
I used all purpose flour as i had no rye and it turned out great.
i mixed it up at noon, left it for 4 hours then baked.
Don't let the rising time scare you, mix it and leave it while you do other things.

My husbands brother and his wife were here for dinner and they gobbled it up.
I thought i would have some left for toast but it was not to be:(

Nice looking cob loaf, I love the rise on it! Lucky guests ;)
I wonder if I could do this with whole wheat four instead of Rye? I'm not that experienced with yeast breads that use other types of flour. My sensitivity to Rye has now turned into a full blown allergy. I guess I could try it your way and use all regular flour. :)

Shona i made it again using all multigrain flour and it turned out great so whole wheat would work.I made it the first time as per the recipe with the AP flour which is good, but white bread brothers me. I will make it with the multigrain from now on.
    I made a loaf today.
I will post a photo of the multigrain bread on the recipe.
It’s a bit dense but very good.

Awesome, thanks for posting that Manella! Your pictures look so good with the Multi-grain flour, yum! I wasn't sure if there had to be more yeast with whole-wheat or grain bread etc., so I'm glad to know it works. :)

p.s. Don't forget to rate and review it on Bren's recipe page! :)

Nice photo, Manella! That is a beautiful looking loaf of bread. I like breads that do not require kneading, even if you do have to let them rest for a long period of time. I can't believe how well it would raise with so little yeast. Did it double in size?

Thank you DIZ, yes it did, I left the multigrain one raise for 4 and 1/2 hours and it doubled also.
