Orecchiette With Broccoli Rabe And Sweet Italian Sausage
Recipe made for IMI2's March 2019 "Irish or Green" Challenge. I made this recipe for the "Green".
My review: One of my favorite combinations of ingredients for a meal of pasta. I used so much more garlic and Italian cheese. I used 4 good-sized cloves of garlic sliced thin (what's an Italian dish without a lot of garlic?) and at least 1/2 cup grated cheese. I wasn't shy with the olive oil either.
I like to sautee broccoli rabe as opposed to blanching it (personal preference). It tends to not wash away that 'peppery bite'.
I also like to use bulk sausage out of the casing instead of slicing.
This recipe is so forgiving to your personal likes and dislikes. Adjust ingredients accordingly. Thanks Lacrenshaw for posting!

My mouth is watering! Lovely photo (as always!). I like your plates (pretty). Good tip about the broccoli rabe. I didn't know that. I usually steam it, but we like peppery, so I will give your method a try.

Awesome photo, LindaLMT! This is my kind of pasta dish. Pasta, meat, veggies, and cheese! Believe it or not, I've never tried broccoli rabe.
