    Recipe: Oyster Cracker Treats

This is one of my favorite recipes for oyster crackers. Perfectly seasoned and I love the dill! Great for clam chowder, oyster stew, or just to have around for snacking. I’ve always made these with vegetable oil, but I had a ton of butter on hand so I decided to experiment. OMG! Even better with the butter flavor and they were extra crispy. I kept them in an open bowl on the table through the holidays and they never lost their crispy crunch. I’m thinking butter is the only way to go! However, they are salty so be sure to use “unsalted” butter.

Oh my gosh, I haven't had those for a hundred years! I remember having them as a kid and we'd make them when we had company. Great photo, DIZ!

My friend gave me an assortment of homemade snacks for Christmas and seasoned oyster crackers was in there. I bet this is very close to what she used, I could taste (and see) the dill and lemon on them. Great photo!
