I wonder if this is a sponsor for PC brand as they post a lot of recipe's with it? This recipe calls for PC brand Pho broth. PC is "President's Choice", a brand of products made for a Canadian store chain. However, I used Campbell's brand of Pho broth in this recipe.

It was excellent! I didn't think the kids would like the Pho broth but everyone loved it! It has a hint of clove, cinnamon and anise flavours, similar to Chinese 5 spice powder. But the broth is much more subtle and has other flavours like galangal, lemon grass, onion etc..Because the rice is cooked in the broth, the flavours become even more subtle after it's fried--you still know it's there--which gives it such a great background flavour!
I made it exactly as written and wouldn't change a thing! I made this over a week ago (I'm getting behind on posting in IMI and trying to catch up!) and it's so good that I'm making it again tonight! :)

Linda, the Pho broth is such a great invention! I love that you can have it on hand in your pantry without having to go buy the fresh ingredients like lemongrass, galangal or ginger etc...it's all in there! Great for quick Asian soups! :)
