    **August 2018 Group Recipe Challenge--Grilling**

The kitchen smelled so good when these were baking and the sauce cooking. Very easy to skewer and grill. We do not grill often. Hubby got the charcoal going for me and I did the basting and turning. A tasty combination! However, I had problems with the sauce. I’m not sure if I measured the ingredients wrong or not. It tasted like salt ‘n vinegar and wasn't sweet at all. It also wouldn’t thicken. I ended up added about 2/3 c. of sugar, 1-1/2 tsp. cornstarch, and 2 Tbsp. more pineapple juice. It was fantastic and paired very well with the pork meatballs. What a fun way to make sweet ‘n sour pork. Thank you for sharing, Mommyluvs2cook.

I'm glad this ended up turning out good for you DIZ! That is weird that the sauce wasn't sweet for you?! The cup of pinepple juice and ketchup should have sweetened it up, but I have no idea :( Your picture is amazing!!! Thank you for trying :)

Mommyluvs2cook, I'm kind of thinking it was the soy sauce. I either added too much or should have used low sodium. We are both salt sensation and soy sauce can really get us when we least expect it. I keep both on hand, but don't always think about the low sodium. We really enjoyed the combination. I especially liked the meatballs. I'm always thinking outside the box. This would be good to make in a crockpot for parties and potlucks.

Thank you, LindaLMT! These would be good with rice. I served with Chinese Cabbage Coleslaw. It's been a hot summer and anything cold with dinner hits the spot.
