This was excellent! I made the recipe exactly as written. I used my old hand turned nut grinder to get the nuts finely chopped. They stuck to the French toast perfectly which I didn't think would happen. You can really taste the cinnamon and spice. I ate them with a big dollop of butter on top and a good hearty dusting of powdered sugar to make them sweeter.

Thanks, Mommyluvs2cook! I could taste the pumpkin. Or, maybe that was my imagination because I could really taste the spices, especially the cinnamon. I like a sweet French toast and it isn't very sweet. I thought it needed something like powdered sugar and whipped cream, but I didn't have any whipped cream. Glad you bookmarked it. I saved this recipe last year when we did the "pumpkin" challenge for the recipe group. When I type the name of the recipe in the recipe search field, nothing comes up. Don't know if it's my computer or if the site is wonky.

Hi, Everyone! Thank you for all of the wonderful comments. It's surprising this turned out as well as it did. As soon as I put it in the skillet, I got interrupted with a phone call. Luckily, I didn't burn it too bad. lol!
