Refried Beans

    So, I think I may have made homemade refried beans MANY years ago, but can't remember lol. So this was fun! So much better than the gloopy canned stuff for sure. I doubled up on the recipe, using a whole pound of dried beans, which equaled about 6 cups cooked. Served along side tacos and topped with colby jack cheese and the chopped pickled jalapenos :) Oh, and next time I think I will try a blender or maybe a food processor to get these mashed, because it was almost impossible to mash these smooth by hand with a potato masher. So I had some bean chunks, but that didn't bother us :)

    Thank you Manella! I'm okay with refried beans as long as they are on or in something, like a tostada or burrito. I don't usually like them on their own, but I do this way!
