My neighbor always boils ribs before baking or grilling and swears by that method. After reading all of the glowing reviews from others like Mommyluvs2cook, I thought I’d give this a try. It was very good except the ribs were dry and falling apart. I had to scoop them from the pan. I even reduced the bake time by a half hour to expedite dinner. The BBQ sauce was wonderful. I made as written. I was a little concerned about the amount of vinegar. What concerned me more was the amount of Worcestershire sauce. The BBQ sauce was both sweet and tangy and I love the hint of horseradish. Unfortunately, hubby didn’t like it. We obviously have opposite tastes when it comes to BBQ. Bonus: The recipe yielded a nice pot of pork broth to use for soups and other things.

Gorgeous photo Diz! They look so tender and juicy, but too bad they were dry. :(
Wow, that is a lot of Worcestershire! I'm a dash here and there kinda girl when it comes to that stuff, lol.....glad to know the sauce worked out and was delicious. :)

Beautiful photo DIZ! They look incredibly delicious. I was taught to boil ribs first too. I don't make them though because DH won't eat them and why go thru all the trouble for just me but this recipe looks great and maybe I'll just have to make 1/2 someday.

Thank you, LindaLMT! Too bad your hubby doesn't like ribs. I don't know if I noticed a big difference between boiling first vs. just sticking them in a pan and baking. At least not enough to go through all of the work.

Too bad these were so dry for you DIZ! I love the boil and then grill or bake method for ribs. Been doing it forever! Your picture looks soooo good!!

Thank you, Mommyluvs2cook! Sometimes I think dry pork has more to do with the pork itself and not necessarily the cooking method.
