Sausage Vegetable Soup

I made this for lunch today, and it is a very tasty soup, I did not put the pasta in the soup.
I cook the pasta separate from the soup, add to the bowl then add the soup.
I find if there is leftover soup the pasta swells and gets mushy.
I used mild Italian Sausage and did not add the wine.
I also added parsnip and turnip, they were going soft and needed using.They made a nice addition to the soup, gave it a very nice flavor..
We liked it very much.

I like that you added more root vegetables, it would be so filling that way you wouldn't need the pasta. :)

I had two bowls, so good on a chilly day. I find that the parsnip gives it a boost, plus i like it in soups. With this kind of soup i only make pasta if hubby wants some but we usually eat without...

I never really started liking turnip until a couple of years ago. Always made it for my husband because he likes it, so one day i tried it in soup and *Volla*i actually enjoyed it...
